A2P - Love Your Voice

Want to immerse your readers in your story from page one to the end? Want readers eager to read your next book and the next and the next? That’s Voice! For many popular authors creating an engaging, evocative, and enthralling Voice seems effortless. But try to evaluate your own voice? It’s hard to tell what makes it special...and how to capitalize on our natural strengths.   Julie Rowe, author of more than twenty contemporary romance and military thriller titles will provide a writing master class of information, insight, and writing exercises designed to showcase your voice. Julie will also work one on one with you on the first 50 pages of your Work In Progress. What you will learn: The seven key elements that make up an author’s unique voice: emotion, core story/theme, setting & description, pacing, conflict, characterization, and mechanics. Writing exercises to give you the tools to refine, polish, and even change your Voice.  The rules of writing: how to use them and when to break them. Editing and revision techniques to help you add power to your voice. Who should take this course: Beginning writers who want to discover their voice. Intermediate writers who want to focus on their strengths and power up their voice. Experienced writers who want to power up their voice or change it slightly to suit a new genre.
